NEW SALES RECORDS IN REAL ESTATE SECTOR

Evaluating statistics in real estate sales for October 2015, the director of a major Turkish newspaper Kamil Ozornek predicts a new record in this sector to the end of 2015. According to the latest data of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TSI), in October 2015, it’s sold a total of 98,104 properties. Compared with the previous month, the number of homes sold increased by 12.6%, compared with the same month last year by 8.8%. During 10 months of 2015  sold 1 million 40 thousand 713 residential units.

According to the official data of the year, Kamil Ozornek expects further growth in sales. According to him, despite the slowdown in the sector and the difficulties associated with past elections, as well as the cautious approach of consumers, a new record will set towards the end of the year. In 2014, in Turkey, the total real estate sales amounted to 1 million 165 thousnad 381, the end of 2015 is projected to more than 1 million 250 thousand transactions. This growth is largely contributed to the fact that during the year real estate companies did not make considerable increase in prices.

GROWING INTEREST OF FOREIGN BUYERS

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TSI), the number of residential units sold to foreigners, compared with the same month of last year, increased by 23.8% and reached 2 thousand 236. In October 2015, in the first place on sales of property to foreigners is Istanbul (780 projects), followed by Antalya (567 projects), then Bursa, Yalova, Istanbul, and Mule. Among the most active foreign buyers in October showed the citizens of Iraq (430 property), followed by residents of Saudi Arabia (325), the third Russian citizens (191 residential object). Kamil Ozornek: «Turkey supports the interest of foreign buyers to your property. And this interest will grow in the coming years. «
